Pudding Shots!

So we have a little tradition at work…thanks to these folks.

Meet Paul and Ginger.  Also known as “Pudding Shot Paul and Ginger.”  Yes—they are actually in my cell phone like that.   

They introduced us to the yummy treats that we at the radio stations have come to expect at certain events that we do! THANKS P & G!!!

Are you having a grown up party?  Try these!  They are fun and really delicious~and the options for flavors are endless!!

Here’s what I made the other day…

Chocolate, Banana and Lemon!

Here’s how you do it!

• 1 smaller box of instant pudding (generic works great) I think these are 3.4oz
• 3/4 cup of milk
• 3/4 cup of alcohol of your choice! (here is where you can play with flavors)
• 8oz Whipped Topping (Cool Whip)

Mix the pudding with the milk until blended well

Add the alcohol of your choice—Here I am making the Lemon flavor-so I used Lemon Drop and a bit of Lemoncello!

 

Mix well and then fold in the whipped topping~

Here are the 3 flavors I made that day-Lemon, banana and Chocolate.

…using Vanilla flavored Vodka in the banana

and Crème de Cocoa in the chocolate (Baileys or Kahlua would be workable too!)

But really~here is where you can get creative!  We have tried Strawberry (vanilla pudding and strawberry flavor alcohol, Chocolate Mint….coconut…mmmm)

You can either freeze these in the original container or spoon them in the individual cups—then FREEZE them

I had time-so I chose to freeze them and scoop them into the containers later!

YUM!!  They look like ice cream!  Cover and either toss back into the freezer or take with you….I had a little help covering the hundreds I made (I tripled the batches) and he was even good about NOT being able to eat any of them!  FYI…I made the kids an alcohol free batch-which they thought were pretty fun~

 

We pretty much get rave reviews where ever we bring these puppies!

It’s a cabin on the water-and so much fun!

A little family R&R was in order! 

We don’t get to jump off the couches at home…but Grandpa’s a sucker for rule bending.  We love it. 

…and Grandpa is a purveyor of all things silly~

…and toys… GREAT toys.

 

These 2 things drag you thru the water like James Bond.

 

Kevin spent a better portion of the day playing giving rides….  Ryan is behind him loving it!

The St Croix was not very busy this weekend, which left lots of room for the Common Cure to head to Stillwater!

Maya and I were relaxing on the upper deck

-and the boys were down below where Nico thought the motor was loud…and Ryan….

Ryan couldn’t care less.

Pretty soon….kids started falling over.  Jacob didn’t even get his life jacket off…at least he made it to the bed.

Here’s a pic for my mom….who said, If there is no photo of you, how do we even know you were there?   Yes—I have a swimsuit on….LOL

What a gorgeous weekend being unplugged!  Hope yours was great too!

Hands Free…..how addicted are we?

I have been contemplating how many I Summers I have left with the kids (I know they are young but I still think about it.

My good friends already know that I vowed to unplug and pull back.  A co-worker and friend of mine showed me THIS blog post and it really made me think about being more present.  I’ve been pretty good about it!  Yet-I thought about it again as I took a phone call during my son’s baseball game last night…and in my blogroll this morning, I find this UPDATE to remind me of my intentions.  It’s a good read…made me feel a little guilty, but motivated to pay more attention to what matters.

I will be busy trying to pay 100% attention to a lot of this, and a lot of that.

I didn’t invent the wheel here but it was sure fun!

I took a trip to the hardware store.  List in hand, I brought home all my “stuff.”

The hubs was wondering what I was up to…I said, “Oh…just a little project.”  and when I started breaking out the power tools, he wanted IN! (and then I could take pictures…see how the plan worked in my favor?)

A little measuring, glue, some connecting…

Add a hose and a kid….(see him running from the trampoline?  I didn’t even have to call him!)

If you build it…they will come! 

Soon our neighborhood buddies were there to join in! PERFECT!

Baby it’s Hot Outside!

With a heat index up to 110 yesterday…either inside or in the water is the place to be.

I am in the middle of a “Super Cool” project for the kids at home I can’t wait to show you….it’s gotta be done for the 4th of July RE~DONK~ULOUS neighborhood party!

Alas…there was an epic fail on our part, and I have to fix that before I can share it with you.

School is out, days are long.  The blog has been neglected.  For the first time, when I come to work in the early morning hours-the sun is rising!  I haven’t caught up to life yet-since returning from the Winstock Country Music Festival….Where I got a squeeze from…Blake Shelton
