“Common Cure”

My Sunday adventure brought me to the Hudson, WI Marina.

The marina packs these boats in TIGHT

Here was my view.  Wanna feel small?  Wanna feel vulnerable?

Lay down under a yacht.

I hope this thing doesn’t fall on me

2012-04-29 15.30.50

…She’s dark and ominous underneath

2012-04-29 15.30.59

But she’s sunny and friendly up top!

2012-04-29 14.05.10

And she belongs to “Captain Don”

(AKA-dad, grandpa extraordinaire and general fun maker)

2012-04-29 13.59.30

Time to get it ready to “go in” Smile  Waxing and buffing was on our agenda. I waxed…he buffed.

Don’s view

“Common Cure” will be making her way to the

Bayport Marina on the St Croix sometime this week…I might be in love with this place.

2012-04-29 14.08.16

The kids (and their parents…no lie) can’t wait

2012-04-29 16.06.20

2012-04-29 16.03.01

The pool will be open…someday Smile

2012-04-29 16.02.16

I can see the boys here with their racquets already!

Mingo and Sobe

Mingo had her 1/2 brother Sobe (yes, he is named after the Life Water Lizard) come for a play date!  It was actually their first meeting!  Sobe is owned by a friend and I was excited to see how Mingo would react and how much they looked alike!

Mingo is 1/2 Jack Russell and 1/2 Boston Terrier.

Use up those Easter leftovers is the mission for the week.

Monday-Split pea and Ham soup

Tuesday- Fajitas with the leftover Prime Rib (yes-we had both Ham and Prime Rib for Easter) and grilled asparagus

Wednesday-Kids make dinner…they want homemade pizza-I will whip up dough this Tuesday

Thursday-Tuna Salad…plus peas and cheese please!

Friday-Leftover Buffet

Saturday-It’s the freezer clear out-we are grilling steaks as we wait for a new “Bessie” to come in!  The Meat Market called for our order already!

Sunday-Tater Tot Hot delish …a freezer meal again!

Happy Eats!  We are also making cookies for one of my favorite 13 year old neighbors birthday this week!
